The co-design workshop for the Greater Dandenong City Council took place on 16th of May. A diverse array of food leaders attended the workshop from manufacturing, retail and health/community sectors. The outcomes from the workshop include the development of some progressive and economically sound food projects for the city over the next 5 years, such as a Food Innovation Network, Food Innovation Hub, Micro Business incubator and ‘Think outside the Shop’ strategy to name a few. (please see the following slides to learn more about these potential projects).
The workshop of stakeholders were broken into different groups to solve various problems and innovate solutions relating to food in the city. Insightful ideas were developed and some projects have been backed by food leaders across manufacturing, retail and health sectors.
The Food Innovation Alliance is looking forward to further developing these prototypes and action plans for the Food Strategy which will be released in the coming months. Stay tuned!
